Apologies for the long hiatus. We’ve just been really occupied during the Christmas season – with the Xmas Bake Sale and preparing for our public debut at the Singapore River Market at the Arts House during the Xmas weekend.

It was a little scary since its our first time selling our goods to the public so we didn’t quite know what to expect. So many questions, so much confusion – How much cupcakes and cookies should we prepare? What will our booth look like? Will we have enough time to prepare all the baked goods in time for the fair?

After almost a month of preparation, here’s what our booth looks like at the fair.

We decided to go with a pink, silver and white theme this time around. The booth looks great – the time and effort it took to get everything done was so worth it!

We offered four different flavours of cupcakes (Chocoholic Anonymous, Choc-O-Mint, Strawberry Fields & Buttery Vanilla) and two types of cookies (Chocolate Chip Cookie & Double Chocolate Chip with Almonds). Samples were available for everyone to try our goodies. It was great to see so many eyes light up as they munch on our goodies!

 We did quite well on the first day, but the second day really really surpassed our expectations! Our double chocolate chip cookies were sold out by 2p.m.!! (Thanks to the lady who came and bought 12 packs of cookies!) Many were disappointed that the double chocolate chip cookies were sold out so quickly and had to settle with the plain chocolate chip cookies (which is equally good by the way, just that we had a lot of chocoholics that day )

With the overwhelming response we received at this fair, how can we not have an encore right? So check back here soon to see where we will be next.

Well, fruits are healthy right? So we would like to think that a dessert with fruits is considered as a healthier alternative (how convenient right..haha).

We saw these plump, juicy strawberries at Giant and simply can’t resist them.

Look how fresh they are! *yummy*

We bought one large box of strawberries and that was enough to make one batch of Strawberry Cupcakes with Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting.

We always see strawberry cupcakes recipes using strawberry jam instead of real strawberries. Since we have the luxury of having fresh strawberries, we modified the recipe and used fresh strawberries that had been cut into small pieces and added them to the cupcake batter and the frosting. So you will get bits of strawberries with each bite of this cupcake. These cupcakes are best eaten cold.

These cupcakes are so good that we are tempted to make another trip to Giant just to buy a big load of strawberries and bake these non-stop. Yes, we are still swooning over them.
